dr Andre-Rosario

André Moreira-Rosário is an Invited Assistant Professor at the NOVA Medical School | NOVA University Lisbon, and Researcher at the Comprehensive Health Research Center (CHRC). His R&D activities focus on the design, conduct and data analysis of clinical trials in nutrition and human health. He has contributed to more than 10 clinical trials, including observational and randomized controlled trials, and specializes in the statistical analysis and methodology of systematic reviews and meta-analyses, applying advanced statistical models to ensure rigorous and reliable evidence synthesis.

A. Moreira-Rosário started his professional career in 2004, after graduating in Biological Engineering (Specialization in Food and Chemical Technology) from the University of Minho. He holds a PhD in Biomedicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, specializing in advanced research methodologies to generate and synthesize scientific evidence on the relationship between lifestyle and health outcomes. He also holds the title of Senior Engineer, by the Portuguese Engineers Association.

Currently, A. Moreira-Rosário coordinates the PhD Program in Health and Well-Being Sciences and Technologies, and teaches in the Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Sciences, Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Metabolism, and PhD in Health and Well-Being Sciences and Technologies at NOVA Medical School.
