• 2017: Completed PhD study at the Faculty of Medicine of the University in Oslo with thesis «Corneal Optical Regularization and Biomechanical Stabilization in Keratoconus and Irregular Astigmatism by Use of Topography-Guided Custom Ablation and Corneal Cross-Linking». The thesis included a total of nine articles with a total impact factor of over 30.
• 2001– present: Senior consultant in charge of refractive surgery and keratoconus at the eye dpt. of the University Hospital North Norway, Tromsø, Norway
