Pei Chang-Wu

Dr Pei-Chang Wu is the director of the Centre for the Prevention and Treatment of Myopia at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, where he also serves as a professor at Chang Gung University. He has extensive experience and involvement in the field of ophthalmology, including as past president of the Taiwan Macula Society and director of the Taiwan Retina Society.
Dr. Wu is also a consultant to the Health Promotion Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, as well as the administration of the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. As the principal investigator of the Children’s Vision Care Programme in Taiwan, he is one of the pioneers of health policy on myopia control.
His research interests include myopia prevention, complication control and treatment, and stem cells and angiogenesis.
Dr Wu is also known for his research on low atropine in myopia control, identification of scleral stem cells and Gortex vascular transplantation for pathological myopia.
